Since last I wrote. Ah well, the new position must be taking it out of me. No sign of the salary review yet but it may take place during October.
The new position though is really good. Being kept busy which is the main thing!
Last weekend involved a mini night out on Friday (town, not city, relatively uneventful, other than my brother and his wife both ended up really quite drunk), Alton Towers on Saturday (good clean family fun) and snowboarding on Sunday (had to have a lesson so not quite as 'extreme' as it could have been but still fun).
Weekend before was quite good fun. Events were going on between my friends which I lost track of. Basically friend A had been dating friend B for 24 hours (if that, but it's been expected for months- ever since friend A became single). Then they decided to split up because of a mutual friend (of one, ex of the other). I really do think the city is a bit too small at times!!! Fortunately neither the young stalker, nor the tall stalker were out. Popped out the following Wednesday for a mate's birthday (which necessitated fast-food due to annoyingly timed buses) which was fun but uneventful and I even managed to get the last bus back.
Broke my racket as squash this week. It went flying into the wall but if the ball had come off it at the correct angle in the first place it wouldn't have been necessary. Replacement cost less than expected which is good because the trainers I bought on Friday appeared in the sale on Monday.
I'll be out drinking tonight, warn the city! Friday instead of Saturday because there's a night on, everyone's out and my sister wants the house tomorrow night so I'll be round me brothers.
Meat feast tonight. Will have to put some peppers and more cheese on it though.

Another Friday Final!
No apologies this week. I will not be blogging daily as my life is too boring and busy (it isn't actually contradictory).
Get my semi-promo next week so have been taking bits and bobs over this week, hence the busyness. Also did squash (though not at the usual centre, but a much lower quality place) and registered at college for my next A-level (officially an AS level, but may become a full A (or A2 as they call it now) next year). The course is looking really good, but all my fellow classmates are either greasy 17 years olds whose biggest trauma is their most recent driving test, or else smelly 40 year-olds who have nothing better to do. No-one even remotely humpable.
Still, there will be drinking in town over the weekend as this week has worked out to be better than last by an immense amount. I even secured a refund on one of the services I have used to try to sell one of my cars!!! And got it listed elsewhere much cheaper!!! Just have to see if it sells this time.
Get my own office on Monday!!!!!! I'll be on my own, not sharing like I am at the min, which will be good because I've not farted for 4 months.
Finished my book too. Wasn't a gripping read, but my next book is a bit of a concept book, looks really really good though. The old book was one which I had been reading at my Ex's, therefore that's another thing dealt with- just the shampoo, hairgel and bodywash (I left the Ex's with 4 bottles of bodywash as it had been on buy-one-get-one-free and there was confusion over whether my Ex wanted bodywash or not. Combined with the hairgel being on 3-for-2 and only just opened the first as we split, and the largest bottle of shampoo in the world having been opened as we split it's taken all of 4 months to use them up. Everything else has been used, in most cases within days or a few weeks).
I'm actually not that concerned with the bodywash, shampoo and hairgel having been at my Ex's and it's not as though I think of my Ex when I use them. It's just the final nail towards a fresh start (and with any luck some new metaphors). Probably what the Americans would call closure, but I think closure is something much 'bigger'. I've already dealt with that a long time ago and I've long been past the stage where I worry or even wonder what my Ex is up to- I really don't care anymore. If I wasn't such an anal skinflint I'd have probalby chucked them out ages ago, but I've paid for it so I'm bloody well going to use it.
The Semi-Shag-From-Bradford has been messaging me again. I was told on the night it was Leeds-Bradford which basically means that Bradford is so crap it has to attach itself to the closest town. Having been to Bradford, that sits about right. Nothing much from the messages of interest, other than the usual "those muscles!!!" amongst other things....
I can't think that anything else has happened really
Oh, don't think I said about my disasterous weekend to top off the appalling week. Went out with my usual friends on the Saturday night, just drinking and whatever, only we went to the club really early. It was a really quiet night anyway, however being in the club so early made it seem even more so. I left relatively early and texted the BGO. The BGO was in another bar so I popped along, only it was quiet there too, and rather than there being loads of mates (usually around a dozen) out there were 2. Topped by the the fact the BFO started chatting up the most ugly barperson in the world ever, I decided to cut my losses and head home in the most expensive taxi ever.
Still, things got better... Own office! How cool is that!!! Will even get my own secretary eventually too!!!!!
Pizza and beer tonight, Mmmmmmmmm....

HUGEST HUGEST APOLOGIES
For some reason it's gone really daft at work over the last week or so, to the extent that I have not had time to update.
And so to last weekend. Actually uneventful. Didn't go out on Friday. Did go out on Saturday, however my Recently-Single-Friend is now recently attached, still at the level where there is no possibility of any conversation due to locked lips. This combined with one of my other friends also dating (though the date doesn't smoke or drink and sat with a bottle of water all night- it'll not last long!) meant that there were just a couple of us unattached. Went clubbing and one of the other unattached- a quite unattractive 19year-old - who clearly has a crush on me wouldn't leave me alone. This combined with still not quite letting go of the Bloody-Fantastic-One made for a boring night so I got the 1am bus back to the nearest town and jogged the 3(!) miles back, stupidly. I have pulled a muscle as a result, which in combination with the nights drawing in meant that I couldn't go for my last evening bike ride of the year on Tuesday.
Anyhow, the rest of the week has been crackers- I've been in court almost every single day for almost all of the day. Wednesday was probably the worst day as my car cost me an extra £250 to get through its MOT and I couldn't register at college and traffic was generally appaulling. The only redeeming factor was that I met up with the Bloody-Fantastic-One for lunch which was really nice.
Thursday was quite crap as well as, still without car, I got back to the office after everyone but the cleaners had gone. Registered at college by 6:30, however there was no train back to the village until 8:10!!! So I popped into the supermarket to get a snack ( a pack of crisps) and a few cans of lager to make the evening a little better. At the checkout with both my purchases I spotted one of my ex's (from school so an ex a long way back) at the next checkout and we had a wee bit of a chat. And I got in by about 9:15 with blisters on my feet.
Otherwise the week has been quite uneventful. Drew at squash again which, considering my annoyance at the week, you'd have thought I'd have smashed but no. Nothing planned for tonight, night in with a film I think. Will be out tomorrow with my lucky tee-shirt on. It's not failed me yet!
